CARDS and GAMES

 

500: If you enjoy the game of 500, or wish to learn how to play, why not come along and join us every Thursday in the Craft Room or Dining Room from 12.00noon to 3.00pm. 500 is a game of skill, which can be played by two to six players, but four is the ideal number. The purpose of the game is to take sufficient tricks to make or beat a bidding contract and be the first to score 500 points. It's a game that makes you think, which is great for the brain, and good fun! Come on in to see how it's played.  We're happy to teach you.

 

Bolivia is a very social game; it is a bit of a challenge to learn, but well worth the effort. Played in fours, with lots of cards, each game can go on for quite a while.  If you feel like coming in, our group would be very pleased to teach you. Played in the dining room each Wednesday and  Friday from 11.30am to 3.00pm. You would be made very welcome. This group is always looking for more players, so come along a have a lot of fun! 

 

Bolivia Hand and Foot: If you really like a challenge, join us on Monday from 11.00am to 3.00pm and learn Hand and Foot. Cost is $5.00    Convenor: Liz

 

Bridge is a wonderful card game of skill, but that does not mean you cannot come along and learn how to play. So, if you feel the urge to join a great group and play or learn - or just to have a look or a chat about the game -  come along! Mah Jong is a great game to play, and it helps to improve your mind power. We have a group who love to play, so why don’t you come in and watch, or join us for a game - you would be made most welcome. If you have never played before, our players are happy to teach you.  We play in the Dining Room each  Wednesday from 1.00pm to 3.00pm.

 

Social Housie (Bingo) is played in our Memorial Hall,  every Wednesday from 12.00noon to 3.00pm You may come in and have a light lunch, buy your tickets, find a lucky seat and enjoy the fun! All the prizes are cash, no vouchers, and all the laughter is free! You must be a member of the club to join, the annual fee to join is $6.00 -  January to December. We have all the mod cons. A big board to be able to see the numbers and the afternoon is run by volunteers of the club, who also love to play, so they take turns calling. Please feel free to come along and enjoy.
