Line Dancing

​

We have a large dance floor - the best on the Coast, so why not try your hand at line dancing? It's good exercise in a friendly and fun environment.

We hold social dances on the second Saturday of each month. Some of these socials are held to support our local charities or for special things such as Breast Cancer Awareness week and Ronald McDonald House Westmead.

                                     Line Dance classes are as follows:

Monday 12.30 to 2.30pm - Easy Intermediate Dancers - must be experienced

Wednesday 12.30pm to 1.30pm -  Upper Beginners Dancers

Wednesday 1.30pm to 2.30pm -  Improver Dancers

       * Friday 9.30am to 10.00am - Absolute Beginners  :  Class currently full

       * Friday 10.00am to 11.00am - Beginners/Upper Beginners - dancers with                                                                  some experience.  Class currently full

       * For safety reasons we cannot take any new people at either of these classes.

​Friday 11.00am to 12 midday -  Improver Dancers

 

Cost for Monday Intermediate class is $10 for the two hours. All other classes are $5.00 for one hour. If you do two classes in the one day the cost is $10.00 Please try to bring the correct amount to reduce the amount of cash handling.

If you like to sing, dance or act, why not come and join the Variety Group.

We are a small but talented group of people who like to entertain. We put on a concert twice a year in our beautiful Auditorium and everyone is invited. Keep a look out for the date.

We meet every Thursday afternoon from 1.00 to 3.30pm in the Auditorium.  If you would like to be part of our happy group, come and see us.  Convenor: Norman

Choir

Would you like to become part of our friendly choir group?  Come along and have a great time singing with us, sharing our fun and our voices with our community. If you have never belonged to a choir group this may well be for you.  If you have questions please feel free to contact the Centre or simply come along and meet us during practice times - Thursday from 11.30am to 12.30pm in the Auditorium. We regularly perform at local Nursing homes.

Acoustic Guitar Group

​

The acoustic guitar group meets weekly on Thursdays in the rear room of the Memorial Hall from 9 am to 12 pm.  New musicians with experience are most welcome. ​

You are invited to join our guitar group to play songs from the 50's through to the 90's from Elvis, Cliff Richard, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, John Lennon, Roy Orbison, Glen Campbell, and many more.  We currently cover 150 songs.

​

Musicians and Backing Singers: Suitable musicians would be players of Keyboard, Bass, Banjo, Saxophone and Harmonica. Someone with a Beat Buddy or a Drum Machine would be excellent.  Singers who can sing Harmony and Backing Vocals are also most welcome. We have subscriptions to "Ultimate Guitar" and "On song" where we import songs to our iPads.
